thunder: rob’s basement, summer ‘07.
this is the first time i’ve heard robs voice in a long time. i remember that summer of ‘07 like it was yesterday…right before beef, bryan and i met paul and became a band, hanging in his basement, not a care in the world, all my high school friends and i singing along to silly cover songs as if there was a campfire in the middle of the room. when he took his own life that fall, i had a really hard time playing this song for a while. he always asked me to play it and would sing along every time in his deep distinctive baritone. to this day, every time i play it i hear his voice resonating my head, still singing along with me. i will never forget the people that were in this room. my friend josh sent me this video a few days ago and i hesitated to post it, but i want everyone to hear a voice that should still be with us. life is too short to hesitate. and in some cases…life is much too short.
